The cotton cashmere mini-poncho you've seen at the store has been retooled in multiple sizes for Knitty, and I'm so proud. Yippee! Go check it out, along with all the other great designs in this issue!

Saturday was a quiet day at the shop, until my husband and a couple of our friends came to visit and we had an impromptu knitting party! Stan (in red) has already been knitting and was ready to get his purl on, while Chris (my husband, in blue) and Kelly became brand new knitters! I'm so proud!

What fun! It was quite the unexpected weekend event!

We have also gotten in new colors of Silk Garden (yum!), as well as new colors of Big Kureyon, a chunky self-striping wool. Here's then Silk Garden glamour shot:
New books in this week are Simply Felt, a gorgeous fiber-felting book; and the re-shipment of Scarf Style, an amazing volume of 31 scarf patterns that cover a mile-wide range of knitting and crochet techniques on smaller-size projects. I recommend using some of these patterns for new challenge projects to add new skills to your knitting repetoire. Come check it out, there are patterns for every skill level!
